Jordan Harrison Biography

Jordan Harrison is a seventeen-year-old
senior
honor student at her school.  She
enjoys spending time with her family and
friends.  Seeing Jordan with her family, she
cannot be overlooked.  A tall, beautiful
young lady with brunette locks of hair
between two beautiful blond sisters.  Her
captivating smile is the same as when she
was a five year-old singing her first solo in
the church Christmas play.
Since both of her parents are teachers, she
spent her preschool days with grandparents.
Much of this time she spent listening to her
grandfather sing older country music.  She
quickly learned the words.  Although much
of the music of his time was about lost loves
and honky-tonks, this special time helped
her to develop a love and a pretty good ear
for the genre.
Jordan began her life with physical
limitations that could have prevented her
from following the dream that she is chasing
today.  She had frequent ear infections and
was completely “tongue tied” as an infant.
Thanks to a successful surgery performed by
an ear, nose and throat specialist and advice
from a great pediatrician, her ear and tongue
problems were corrected.   The medical
procedures prevented damage to her hearing
and freed her tongue so that she could form
her words correctly.
Performing three one-hour shows at the
Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in
Nashville, Tennessee July 3 – 5, was the
highlight of 2006 for Jordan. Her first public
performance, however, was not as glamorous
as performing at the Opryland Hotel.
When Jordan was in the third grade, she was
crowned the winner of the third and fourth
grade pageant at her school.  Following
tradition, the next year she had to crown her
successor.  Since she was not competing, she
asked the pageant director if she could sing
during the intermission.  She was an instant
hit.  This elementary student became a
regular entertainer at the high school
pageants and other local events.
Over the last year, Jordan has rapidly gained
notoriety across the south and has earned
herself a long list of performance credits.

her most rewarding performances, Jordan
would say her visits to the Children’s
Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama in June
and November of 2006.  She enjoys seeing
the patients and their parents smile.
Her debut CD,
Just Startin' Out was
completed in September 2006.  It included
one song,
Puppy Love, that Jordan wrote.
Puppy Love was entered in the 2006
International Songwriters Competition and
placed in the semi-finals.  She recently
completed recording her second CD titled
Made Ya' Look in Nashville at OMNIsound
Studios.  Jordan wrote four and co-wrote one
of the songs on the
Made Ya' Look project.

What started as a grandfather’s dream for his
granddaughter is taking shape to become
reality for Jordan. This journey had humble
beginnings; a grandfather sharing stories with
her of listening to the greats of country
music perform on the Grand Ole Opry
stage.  Jordan has come a long way since
those preschool days of singing with her
grandfather, but the dream is still the same.
Whenever she is asked what she wants to do
when she grows up, she always says the same
thing, “Become a lawyer and sing at the
Grand Ole Opry.”  If a good heart and a
caring spirit determine one’s success, Jordan
will go far.  Stay tuned; remember she’s only
seventeen!

Jordan Harrison
What she's doing
As Jordan enters her senior
year in high school, she
finds herself balancing many
aspects of her young life.  In
addition to writing,
performing, and playing
guitar, she maintains a 4.27
GPA on a 4 point scale and
is ranked #1 in her class
.
For the last t
hree summers
she has taken college
courses and also boasts a
4.0 at this academic level.

Over the past year she has
penned several beautiful
ballads along with a few that
are just pure country fun.
She has accepted an
invitation to perform at the
Commodore Grille in
Nashville on numerous
occasions.  She considers it
an honor to have shared the
stage with some of the
greatest songwriters that
Nashville has to offer.

Among her most memorable
events this year was meeting
Pam Belford who wrote
George Strait's #1 hit,
If I Know Me.  Jordan was
flying high the night Craig
Martin dedicated his #1 song
(recorded by Tim McGraw),
Don't Take the Girl to her
while he was on stage in
Nashville.
Special Thanks......
It is amazing how God blesses us all with someone we need in our lives when we least expect it.  Jordan
was fortunate to have been introduced to Mr. Roy Crawford (father of Chuck Crawford of Heartland) who
jump-started her guitar playing.  After what seemed like only a short time, Mr. Roy decided that she was
ready to move on and learn more complex guitar skills.  He introduced her to Mr. Scott Miller (former
guitarist for Terri Clark and Craig Morgan).

They have both been a blessing to Jordan and she is sincerely thankful for their guidance and instruction.
The skills they have taught her have enabled her to accompany herself when performing
and have added much to her writing abilities.
